Sunday Delights – Two Weeks Worth

Winter Preparation!

Honestly I feel like the last two weeks have flown by! I have been so busy with food preservation I haven’t taken any time to write. The photo featured is sage and summer savory. This is my first year growing these lovely herbs and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in growing an herb garden.

There have been lots of delights from the last two weeks but the one I have focused the most on is food preservation. Here is a list of what I have been working on:

  • Drying herbs – basil, parsley, sage and summer savory
  • Canning – pepper jelly
  • Freezing – basil pesto using roasted almonds
